Association of anemia and hypoalbuminemia with mortality among patients undergoing routine hemodialysis

Background: The progressivity of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with several clinical conditions which contribute to high morbidity and mortality, including anemia hypoalbuminemia. This study aimed assess the association hypoalbuminemia mortality CKD patients undergoing routine hemodialysis (HD) in Siloam Hospital Kupang.Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort based on Indonesia renal registry data system hospital medical records. studied following variables: gender, age, etiology CKD, vascular access HD, prevalence All analysis was performed using SPSS software version 22.Results: There were 128 enrolled this study. Of total who died, most them died within first 3 months since initiation HD (62.1%). majority had (67.2%) (69.5%). bivariate showed that (p value=0.192), value=0.336) not statistically significant among HD.Conclusions: Anemia are outcome Kupang. However, these may still have prognostic importance for HD. Further studies larger size longer period time warranted.
